How To Train People On The Job Training Program

The ALERA Overall How To Train People On The Job Program teaches your personnel how to develop and teach structured On-Job-Training programs based on the Four-Step method of instruction. The goal of this program is to improve the effectiveness of on-job training by teaching you to use a systematic, learner-centered method.

The program will:

  • Give structure to what you do naturally.

  • Develop a common base of understanding and skill in training.

  • Give labels and language to what you are already doing.

Your participants to be able to:

  • State the benefits of structured OJT

  • Recognize errors in given case example

  •  List the 4 steps of The Four-Step Method of Training

  • Use techniques of motivating learners

  • Demonstrate use of the 4 steps to train actual tasks

  • Communicate the task clearly (show & tell)

  • Stress key points

  • Ask questions to stimulate and reinforce

  • Give constructive feedback and retrain as appropriate

  • Demonstrate patience, understanding and caring when training

  • Follow up each training activity.
